Shadow of Salt is the first official playset for Where Fields Go Fallow, a bleak and windswept scenario rooted in loss, silence, and the slow collapse of a lakeside village. Built to be played after or alongside the core game, it introduces a new mystery, new omens, and a monstrous presence of its own: the salt-swept desiccating chimera born from the sorceries of the Autumn War.

The playset contains everything needed to set your game in the haunted village of Vahle, once blessed by its lake, now a place of dried-up, cracked earth, rumors of villagers turned into salt statues, and whispered dreams.

About the System

Shadow of Salt runs on the OGREISH framework, a lightweight but robust story engine designed for fast, immersive play. Facets replace modifiers. Dice pools grow and shrink with the fiction. The result is a game that favors decision, not calculation.
